Meditation – Celebrating Earth and Summer Solstice
Markham/Stouffville Women’s Wellness Circle
Join us on June 16th to create beautiful, grounded, feminine energy by honouring and connecting to the earth and celebrating the upcoming summer solstice in a guided, outdoor meditation led by Tanya Porter.
Every month we gather at 7:00PM to laugh, love, learn and heal together. You can expect to be met with acceptance, to come as you are and leave lighter, more focused and connected to yourselves and your sisters in your community.
Meditation brings us into awareness of our pure Self, that is ALWAYS there, beneath the projections of societal constructs, tasks, attachments, expectations and judgements. In this practice we re-connect to Life itself and the nature of our true Self. Our connection to the energy of our Earth provides us with the grounding foundation to grow and develop the way we were designed, with natural ease and supported wellness as we expand into deeper Awareness and full expression.
We live in symbiosis with the Earth, and as we celebrate, honour, love and respect the Earth, we open the door to receive her abundant gifts and spledour in our lives. As we develop our relationship to the Earth, we gain clarity and “big picture” understanding of our own bodies, our emotional needs and how to balance as we grow and change.
An earth meditation can offer simple and profound benefits like:
– Offer a moment to enjoy the surroundings – hear the birds, feel the wind and touch the ground
– Bring strength and support
– Allow energy to flow with greater ease
– Help reach higher spiritual Awareness
– Stabilize emotions
– Bring out healing abilities to their full potential
The Summer Solstice will also be a handful of days away. It is the longest day of the year for us in the Northern Hemisphere. Symbolically, light and darkness represent soul and shadow, so now, with the Solstice, the light of the soul is shining its brightest over the darkness of the shadow. It is a portal opening of energy that overwhelms obstruction, blockages, and ego.
