What’s Your Personality Type?

Published by Casandra on

Are you an introvert or an extrovert?   Are you a Commander, Debater, Advocate or Defender?  Want to learn more about your personality type based on the Myers-Briggs Indicator test?  One of the most user-friendly and comprehensive websites that offers a FREE tool to determine your personality type is called 16 Personalities.  You can take the survey here.

Tips!

  1. BE HONEST!!  A lot of people believe they have to answer how they feel they should answer or try to determine the most correct answer.  This won’t help you.  The information becomes moot if it’s not based on the real you, real beliefs, real values and real thoughts.  Don’t be afraid to be honest with yourself.
  2. Don’t overthink – most tools have a time limit per question and there is a good reason for that.  This is about your first, instinctual response not your analytical mindset.  Trust yourself as you go through the process.
  3. This is not a bible – These kinds of tools are valuable in helping you understand yourself better but it doesn’t mean it’s the be-all and end-all of who you are and how you should live your life.  Explore, study, and discuss it.  Gain your OWN perspective and identify how you could apply it to your purpose, goals and intentions.

You will receive a brief introduction about the strengths and weaknesses of your personality type, who you are in relationships, friendships, parenthood, career path and workplace habits.

I have used this tool twice with two years in between and so far the feedback is consistent.  I am, “a quiet and mystical, yet very inspiring and tireless idealist.”  I’ll take it.
